I have always been a good swimmer and I still swim a mile in a lake. I used to have silicone ear tips that fitted my ears snugly, but some liquid could still leak out. Since the 1980's I have always been able to treat swim ears with 50/50 alcohol and white vinegar. These earplugs work when you are sure you have created some sort of vacuum and therefore suction. Pull on them slightly and see if there is suction. You can push harder. I'm not sure or a little doubt that they will work in diving. I really like swimming on my back and have often checked whether they fit well. The package includes 3 sets of earbuds, each with its own box that you can attach a string to if you wish.
