All functions work well. The battery arrived half charged, which is normal for rechargeable batteries. Overall, this radio offers excellent value for money. There are a few minor imperfections that aren't big enough to warrant four stars: * The front panel lettering isn't gloss white on black as shown in the photos. It's gray on black, which is difficult to see in normal light and invisible in low light. This can make tuning to a different frequency difficult. I'll touch up mine with a silver point and see if it gets any better.* The frequency tuning mechanism has a lot of play. The actual tuned frequency is either before or after the red band on the frequency meter, depending on whether you tuned it up or down. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix this, but it should be easy enough to adjust to. I am satisfied with the product. It has the features I want at a great price. The flashlight is bright, the speaker is loud, picks up nearby AM and FM stations, and comes with a removable Li-Ion battery that can be charged locally via USB.
