I followed the directions and measured my dog in two places; around his neck and around the widest part of his head. I ordered Large which should have a maximum length of 23.6 inches. What I received was a collar marked L, but the maximum length was just over 26 inches. That meant the thing was too big to be of any use to my dog. The product seems solid and well made, no sharp edges or anything but be careful of the size. The good thing is that Revain will simply refund the money for this item without requiring a return so I don't have to repackage and send it back. I'll try again with a different size.
