Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ Bed Head Bubble Curling Wand: Clamp-Free Rock N' Roller for Perfect Curls by Aleska Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A bit tricky to use, but makes very nice curls!

For many years I always straightened my hair because I couldn't learn how to create nice spiral curls with a curling iron. Wearing the same hairstyle with long hair can get a little boring, so I decided to search Revain for styling tools that are easy to use. I originally ordered the Bed Head Deep Waver and was so thrilled with the results that I also got myself a Rock 'n' Roller which I affectionately call my "curler". with the iron itself along with a black protective glove to protect your hand from the heat of this iron as there is no clamp. The iron is nearly 15 inches long and the heating cylinder is about 5 3/4 inches. The balls are about an inch in diameter. The cable is almost two meters long, long enough to move around with. The iron has a black ball on top for you to hold while using it, a protective stand that works well, an on/off switch, a temperature dial to choose between low, medium and high settings . like the temperature between them all and a swivel cord so you can easily move the iron around while using it. I found it heats up quickly and cools down quickly too in case you need to pack it in your suitcase shortly after use. The glove fits well but I didn't use it as I found it a bit awkward to use while trying to grab strands of hair so I took a chance and left my hand open no problem while I styled my hair have . in front of a mirror so I can see exactly what I'm doing. I found this styling iron a bit difficult to use at first, but it gets easier with practice. I just covered it up and attached some photos of my end result. The guide includes a chart of which heat setting is best for your hair type, but they recommend starting with the lowest setting and increasing the heat as needed. I have wavy to medium length hair so I started on a low setting but ended up with medium. I have long hair and it was pretty easy to wrap the hair onto the stem. When I reach the ends of the strands of hair, I gently wrap them around the shaft, keeping my fingers as close to the iron as possible without touching it. Then I roll the flat iron as close to my head as possible to get my hair curled as much as possible. I hold my hair in this position for about 40 seconds and then release and curl the whole head. It probably took me about half an hour to style all my hair and then I sprayed it with hairspray. I didn't put any products on my hair before starting, although you probably could when your hair is doing better. Overall I am happy with this styling iron and really like the end result. I hope it gets easier to use with time. I found it a bit difficult to use because without the clamp on the iron I had to keep both hands in the air and my muscles got tired pretty quickly. I'm in pretty good shape but maybe it will get easier with time. I actually prefer the Bed Head Deep Waver because I find it easier to use and I love the beachy waves I get from it so I'll probably use it again but this one is still good. If you want spiral curls, I'd go for the rock 'n' roller iron, but if you want beachy waves, I'd go for the deep waver. The price is what I was willing to pay for and I love the fact that I can have more hairstyles than just straightened hair! I recommend buying this straightener if you want to add some variety to your hair and don't feel comfortable using a regular curling iron to curl curls.
