The reason I bought it was so I can attach the base that comes with this socket to the back of my computer desk, so that it is not a "traveling" socket (performance class?). The base is secure and the power outlet is installed in the base so my laptop is plugged in, but another reason I wanted this particular one is that it also has multiple USB charging sockets. So my phone, the little lamp on my desk, my phone, my jaw. So many USB devices to charge! It works great and the small size of the cube makes it easy to find a place to attach it.
