Review on Enhanced CableCARD Receiver: Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-2650 Dual Tuner by Steven Hanson

UPDATE SEE AT END OF REVIEW > Connected last night. was very impressed with how easy it was. Much more impressed with the picture; HD seemed better with this set-top box than with the cable company's rented set-top box. I haven't had much time to play with it, but the only downside I've noticed is that the box needs to be powered on for the box to work properly. If you want to record a program that airs at 3am, your monitor/television must be on to capture the recording. Since my TV is in my bedroom and I'd rather be asleep by 3am, I probably won't be able to record if I'm not watching TV. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve the above issue, I'd appreciate your feedback. This problem can become a serious problem. I gave the box 3 stars because of a possible recording issue. Otherwise so far so good. I'll update my review if I find out, or someone can help me figure out the recording problem or find a solution to it. UPDATE: My rating has been upgraded from 3 to 5 stars. my graphics card and I could record when my TV is off. So, I've been very happy with this product for a month now and I recommend it to everyone.
