I have had an upper partial plate with 2 front teeth for over 50 years. My current stake is 42 years old. I always cleaned it several times a day. However, over the years I have noticed calcifications on both ends and stains on the front surface and between two teeth. No amount of Efferdent has ever been effective in removing scale or stains. Year after year, the spots only get worse. Desperate for a solution, I decided to try an ultrasonic cleaner. I bought the iSonic F3900 hoping it would work properly. Revain delivered the device within two days and I have read the instructions to ensure I am using the device correctly. The F3900 came with a small packet of cleaning products. I wiped the metal bowl down with a damp cloth and mixed in 1 cup of the cleaning solution. The instructions say no plastic filter is needed, so I didn't use it. I inserted my top subplate into the F3900 bowl and poured the solution into the bowl, stopping just short of the max fill mark. I connected the device, closed the lid and pressed the "on" button. The F3900 started to hum a little, but if you look into the bowl you can only see the slightest ripple of the liquid solution in the bowl. Compared to the foaming effect of Efferdent, it didn't look like anything was actually happening. The device switched itself off after 5 minutes. The instructions state that you can use the device for up to 15 minutes before letting it sit to cool the ultrasonic transducer. I go ahead and run the F3900 for another 5 minute cycle for a total of 10 minutes. Even during the second cycle almost no cleaning seems to take place. After the end of the second cycle, I open the lid and remove my incomplete plate. I rinse the prosthesis thoroughly under running water and begin the examination. Calcification on both sides of the teeth DISAPPEARS! Dark spot between two teeth, GONE! Discolorations on the front surface of the teeth DISAPPEAR! My 40 year old incomplete plate looks fresh from the factory. WOW! I can't believe my eyes. After years of trying to remove calcifications and watching Efferdent remove stains with foam, the iSonic F3900 just worked wonders on my dentures. All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!
