Would be a handy tool to diagnose why one of the tail lights on my trailer would not illuminate when the tractor headlights were on. Unfortunately, the circuit tester was defective. When connected to the tractor, the left and right turn signals on the circuit tester came on, but the tail light indicator did not come on, indicating a problem with the tractor's wiring. Using a multimeter confirmed that the tractor wiring is fine. A portion of the circuit tester's tail light also did not illuminate when connected to two other known-working tractors. The trailer light issue was caused by a broken trailer.
