It was very difficult to insert the plug into the cigarette lighter socket. I pushed as hard as I could and I think I made it, but there was no way of telling if there was really a connection. There is also no indicator on the product to show that it is receiving energy from sunlight and transferring it to the battery. So I hooked up this block and had no idea if it would work. I figured I would have to connect to the battery - I don't think my cigarette lighter is on when the car is off. But there was no battery charge. I decided to send it back and got another one which has an indicator that flashes to let you know the battery is charging - well worth the extra money to me.
