That's just the right thickness. Not too thick to be hot and not too thin to be afraid of tearing. We had them not long ago but the knees haven't cracked and my son loves sliding on his knees. I bought the red one for a lower price and I think the others are more expensive. But they are of excellent quality. Fits true to size. I ordered normal size for my sons.
