When I installed a new head unit in my Toyota MR2, I installed an old head unit, JVC KD-AR565, in my 2006 Toyota Corolla CE (aka "Dog Car"). Using a single DIN adapter, this was the easiest radio installation I've ever done. That was partly due to the design of the Corolla, but also due to the quality of the adapter. The head unit is very well attached and looks very nice on the dashboard. The tray is even tilted slightly downwards so the CD cases don't fly all over the place. Some tips. Having the correct harness adapter already attached to the main unit made things even easier. If you don't have a cable adapter, get one. Wire nuts are your friend. Enfig Car Stereo has a great short video on You Tube that describes how to remove the OEM lock. Follow the reverse procedure to install the adapter and secondary radio - it's easy. Harbor Freight sells a nifty nylon pry bar installation kit for less than $8 that makes dash removal easy.
