You know what you get with a steering wheel lock but I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and attention to detail. The first thing that struck me is how heavy it is, and with something like that I use weight as a quality benchmark. It's packaged very well and even includes a nice note which, while not detracting from the quality, is admittedly a nice touch. I was also impressed by the locking mechanism. I thought it was a regular key or cylinder lock but instead it's a very unique moon strap key and while I'm not at all good at picking locks I can't imagine this key being easy to pick. At first glance I thought it wouldn't fit a full-size GMC Denali, but it pops out more than long enough and then kind of snaps back into place. At the risk of stating the obvious: it sticks to the steering wheel, and then to the back of the brake or gas pedal (in my case, it was easier with the brake). As a former police officer, I have a special relationship with such devices. . I believe you don't have to be the safest house/car/bike on your street, you just have to be safer than others. It sounds rude, but that's how criminals work, unless they're specifically looking for a car/bike/something EXACTLY like yours (which isn't usually the case), they're just lazy opportunists, and if your car/bike /House that looks harder to break in/take than the one that ran down two cars, you know what? You will almost always leave your belongings alone. Like the old joke that you don't have to be faster than a bear, you just have to be faster than the slowest guy in your camp. Everything is relative. Anyway, I digress. This is a really nice steering wheel lock, well made and easy to use. I'm impressed and I think you will be too. A small price to pay for extra security.
