Wow the residue doesn't stain my vinyl and after playing the record I cleaned the music started distorting somewhere in the middle. Then I went back and played the first song I had just played which initially sounded good but now sounded awful and fuzzy. I don't know what this solution just did to my pen, but I hope it's not permanent. Avoid this cleaning solution. Also, the protective film is rolled up inside the cleaning box, so it won't lie flat even when you take it out. It has edges that rise, allowing the solution to get underneath and onto the label when sprayed. The sprayer does not spray with a direct jet, but with a spray.
