I love it.: Room fragrance
I use this with incense resin and charcoal tablets. I saw someone say to use aluminum foil to get it higher. I wonder if that could put chemicals in the air. I assume the sand is dirty, maybe some natural stone? The first time I used it, I turned the lid over and put a charcoal disc and incense sticks inside. It was pretty smoky. I will develop and update a better method.
