Review on 🚲 6-Speed Bicycle Shift Lever - Right Hand Thumb Shifter SL-TX30-6R for Folding Bikes, Mountain Biking, and City Cycling by Charles Fowler

I changed my overall rating after finding a working cable at a bike shop. Great switch! The cable that came with the derailleur was 6 inches shorter for me. So if you have a townie, get a longer cord just in case. Why they didn't include a cable long enough to even fit most bikes is beyond me. The length of the cord can always be trimmed, but if it's too short you'll be stuck with a cord you don't need. I was very angry about that. Should they save half a cent? After all that, I switched from a twist type to this shifter. A whole world of differences! I can actually shift into any of my seven gears! I am impressed. It was easy to install, except I had to trudge into town to get a longer shifter cable. (But the guy at the bike shop only charged me three bucks for one that worked.) Thanks to him, but damn whoever thought of shipping those things with cables that were too short. (Sorry the pics are blurry but I couldn't help but see my phone's screen in the sun.)
