I didn't give that five stars because it's better than more expensive helmets but because it's very impressive for the money. Cyclists always want to lose weight and this one is very light. The fit is good for a medium sized head and appears to be well made. The processing is also good. I love that you can remove the lining for washing. I like the design too and I chose white. Of course you need a helmet to protect your head and I'm definitely not going to crash test this helmet to compare it to others. However, in terms of safety, this helmet definitely belongs to the entry-level class, as there is no additional shell cover over the hard foam constriction. The exterior is just a painted version of the interior. I treat a helmet like insurance with a deductible. Road bikes are inherently vulnerable and there is no such thing as a good crash. Getting hit by a car will leave you confused, but at least with an entry-level helmet, you're more likely to avoid death or brain injury. DRIVE, LOOK COOL, BE CAREFUL AND AVOID DEATH 😎
