We have multiple switched outlets that always confuse us. These guards were recommended to us by our manager. Very easy to install, just unscrew 1 screw from the switch plate cover, place the protective cover on the light switch you want to lock out, and reinstall the screw. That's all! Simply slide to the side to selectively turn on the light switch. I also see the benefit of using them if you have young children; they just like to turn the light on and off, turn them on and off... ** Slowly turn the screw back in... I think the first time I was moving too fast and the guard broke easily. For this reason I deduct 1 star. Besides, it is a great solution to our persistent problem.
