When used carefully, it works wonders!

I have an illness that has caused my hair to thin out a lot this year. It was most noticeable in the front, above the temples, and it became embarrassing and distracting. I decided to see what I could do about it while my hair grew back and after a few hours of research I decided to go for it. It works well. I apply it by filling in the brush like an eye shadow and then tapping off the excess. Then I lightly comb the hair roots in the problem area with a brush - do not rub into the scalp! Instead, rub back and forth and darken the roots, more like applying mascara than eyeshadow. Some inevitably stain the scalp and that's okay, it's even helpful, but I find if I apply them with the intention of applying them to the scalp, I get too heavy on the application and it looks a lot more unnatural. It takes a little practice to get the hang of it, but once you've mastered it you should be able to use it in about a minute. I don't take any special steps to remove it, it rinses off nicely. I took off a star because it washes off too well in any kind of rain or if you sweat a lot it can run like mascara. Very embarrassing when that happens! Otherwise, I'm very glad I tried it. It's nice to be able to cover these areas if I want to look good or have a special occasion.

Pros

Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
