I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase. When I pulled it out I was skeptical that it would actually be 100% waterproof but knew it would be tested quickly as this is my daughter's first time potty training in her sleep. I still put a rolled up towel under her butt for cleaning up the mess which works like a charm but last time she veered off that and crashed right on the tread. I checked the underside of the tread where the impact was and thought it was probably leaking a little, but when I checked the mattress it wasn't wet and I didn't smell of urine anywhere. Just did my first wash and it seems to be holding up great, although I hang it to dry instead of using the dryer (it says you can put it in the dryer but I want it to last as long as possible, considering the quantity). I'll do the washing/drying. At this point I have to say that I am very happy with this purchase, it seems to be waterproof and breathable which is the perfect protection for potty training!
