The first install is the most frustrating part. When I first opened the box. I was very nervous that I would need a scout to help me mount it on my car. I chose my roommate. It's pretty easy to put a bike on it. Pick them up and into the little cradles. Then it's a simple strap on each side and keeps it secure. Repeat these steps for any number of bikes you wish to attach (actually a maximum of three). I would recommend buying bungee cords to secure the front wheel to keep the handlebars stationary. Pros: 1. I'm terribly uncoordinated about these things. And I was able to reduce my build time to about 29 seconds. If I can get this thing to stay in my car, chances are your dog can too. 2. It's super compact. When I don't use it. It fits very well in my trunk.3. Price. I originally wanted to buy much more expensive but decided to give it a try. It worked tremendously for my needs.4. It holds onto the back of my Chevy Cobalt very securely. I never have to worry about it. Cons: 1. Instructions are not very intuitive or helpful. The result is more conjecture than I'm sure they intended. 2. It looks very intimidating at first. But once you put it on. It's never hard again.
