This is my first mechanical keyboard so take it with care. The 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connection is via the switch on the bottom of the keyboard, similar to turning it on and off. So if you plan on switching between devices frequently, you can easily do so with a keyboard shortcut BUT ONLY as long as it's within range of a Bluetooth connection. Otherwise, you'll have to pick it up and flip the switch. Sometimes it wouldn't connect to a 2.4GHz connection, but turning it on and off helps. I really wish it was a little thinner and for that I had to get a wrist rest or it started to get painful but I also come from a very very thin keyboard. Edit: The battery eventually started to drain, the backlight stopped glowing, I didn't charge it when I got it, it lasted almost 3 months for about 10 hours of use a day. Very happy with the battery life.
