This is a kit for making watches with two movements. Each of the mechanisms has an area of about 2 inches. Each is powered by 1 AA battery (not included). You also get a manual mechanism gear and 5 sets of arrows: 2 plain black, 2 uncommon black, and 1 uncommon red. Each set of hands contains 3 hands. Also included in the kit are paper instructions with diagrams on how to attach all the parts. The manufacturer also has a video you can watch if you find that reading the instructions doesn't answer all of your questions. I find these mechanics very easy to use and the instructions are pretty well written. I've made some dials using resin molds (resin mold kits are great for this!). After the epoxy had cured I drilled holes in the center wide enough to fit the clockwork shafts. I attached the mechanism with washers as shown in the instructions and now I have a great homemade clock. So far, the watch shows the exact time. In general, these movements are easy to use and interesting for the craftsman.
