I bought this so I can make a "radio station" on the fly with my 9 year old niece when I visit her. We recorded a few songs and joked around a bit on my phone with a simple voice recording, then I just plugged it into the audio jack and tuned in to a free station. We had a lot of fun and she was happy to hear herself on the radio. I thought the range wouldn't be amazing, but I was disappointed that it couldn't even go across the room. I'm sure it will work great for its intended purpose. It worked well enough for my purposes. I am happy with the purchase and will definitely be getting more 'radios' in the years to come.
