We recently decided to install string lights for our backyard patio and due to the distance we quickly realized that we would need about 85 feet of guide wire to keep the lights from sagging. I have looked at many other kits and for the 100ft range this is the most complete. The instruction manual that came with this set was full of misspellings and not very clear. Also, the size of some parts didn't match their instructions. For example, they recommended tying a thimble to a lanyard to protect the wire from chafing. However, the hole for the thimble isn't wide enough to attach it to the turnbuckle, so I had to take a pair of pliers and glue them together. Other than that I had everything I needed to make a 5 line zig zag W pattern across the patio, leaving only a few yards of wire and 3 hooks. We decided against swivel cable ties and instead opted for outdoor UV cable ties for a cleaner and more professional look, but would still definitely recommend this set. It's been about 2 weeks and they still look strong.
