These are not genuine Avid rotors and are not marked AVID (they are BESNIN). The problem with these rotors is that the cutout in the outer rim is not centered like the inner cutout - the outer and inner cutouts are not concentric. This causes significant changes in the surface area of physical contact with the brake pads as the wheel spins. The end result is non-constant modulation of the brake. This also causes the disc to move in and out of the caliper. It feels like the brake will release and re-engage as the wheel spins. If the pads shrink over time, the situation gets worse. I almost fell off my bike as a result. If you use sintered pads, the effect may be less. However, compound pads can pose a safety issue. Not recommended. I have real AVIDs that are perfectly carved. These don't even come close. The photo shows two discs stacked on top of each other. When the inner cut is aligned you can see the difference in the outer cut.
