They are soft inside and seem to get warm. However, if you are a woman with medium-sized feet, fit, slim or similar, these socks will be too big and your feet will slip like a child in parents' slippers. I'm an 8.5 shoe, 5ft 3in, 120lbs and in good shape. It's not that I don't have calves, but these are the first socks to fail. They fall all the time and fall off my feet as I walk. They seem more like socks for your socks or for a much larger person. Very disappointing.
