Review on Enhance Audio Quality with IFi ISilencer Eliminator Suppressor Adapter by Vashod Reed

Where to start? This little device is amazing. Improves the sound of my Creative Sound Blaster X7 with Muses 01 and OPA 604 op amps. Mids are thicker, bass is stronger, highs are muffled. Improved sound stage, clearer sound separation. My very sharp, treble-heavy Beyerdynamic T90 is tamed by this small USB device. High frequencies are much more comfortable to hear at higher volumes. I did a test on YouTube with PS4 Pro and PC. How was it you ask? PS4 Pro connects to Sound Blaster X7 via TOSLINK and PC connects to iFi iSilencer+ via USB cable. This way you can play videos at the same time and hear the difference in sound. I played the video on PS4 Pro and PC at the same volume. PC video sounded better than PS4 Pro. I repeated the steps without iFi iSilencer+ and the sound was exactly the same on PS4 Pro and PC. So this is proof that the iFi iSilencer+ works. The sound has been changed with the iFi iSilencer+ as it only affects the USB cable and not the TOSLINK cable. I have other op amps that I own and am planning to replace the op amps I currently use to see if the ifi iSilencer+ changes the sound of the Creative Sound Blaster X7 when installed. The OPA 604 is notoriously grainy, but has the sonic signature of a tube amp, so the OPA 604 sounds good with the iFi iSilencer+. My other op amps OPA 627 and OPA 827 sound different with the iFi iSilencer+. I think DACs with more noise will benefit more from the iFi Silencer+. I highly recommend the iFi iSilencer+. When people say they can't hear the difference, I think it's because their DACs and the headphones they use aren't doing that much good. I think low to mid range DACs will benefit more than high end DACs with iFi iSilencer+.
