Since I retired I rarely drive, and when I do it's mostly for short trips. I was having trouble keeping my battery charged and used a charger to fix the problem. To connect the charger, the hood had to be opened each time. So. I bought an extension cord, constantly hooked it up to the battery and brought it out through the grill. Now I can connect the charger by simply connecting the cables and no longer have to open the hood.
