I have used this collar on a medium/large young dog to 'train' him on a leash. It worked well, but only for a very short time. The nylon strap that goes through the round holes failed when I was walking the dog in a high traffic area - luckily I was able to grab him by the collar before anything catastrophic happened. The materials used to make the collar are of good quality, the problem lies with the design. The round holes bring all the requirements of the strap into a very small area, transferring all tension/load to the minimal amount of nylon strap causing too much pressure. The dog got used to the collar very quickly and stopped pulling on the leash the first time it was used, but the collar still couldn't take it and broke. The fact that the collar failed at MINIMUM PRESSURE is alarming. A non-nylon collar is probably a much better option.
