the instructions were not very clear. It took some time to get this setup right and it wasn't clear which way the gate would open until the end of the setup, although it should only open one way. The brackets on our railing posts also don't match up exactly and we had to move all the gates, so it's kind of a play over the edge of our posts on one side. It's still attached well, but I wish it was all over the inside of the posts. It also took some time to figure out how to open and close the latch. It's not exactly perfect, so it's a bit tricky to open, but eventually we got used to it, and hopefully you will too. Glad we didn't have to drill!
