There are four different types of SMA connectors. There are SMA "male" (thread inside and pin "male") and female (thread outside and "male"). There is also an SMA reverse polarity plug (internal thread and socket) and an SMA RP socket (external thread with pin). If you thought you were going to use this cable to extend the length of a small vertical antenna or other antennas with an RP-SMA connector, then you're out of luck. To do this, you need two more plugs that are not included in the kit. You need a male SMA for a female SMA RP and a female SMA for a male SMA RP. You can order these on ebay for 99 cents each, but they arrive on a slow boat from China.
