Review on Sweese 3151 Large Butter: Unveiling the Improved Version of a Classic Essential by James Wiley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Attention, I have an update.

I like the size of this butter dish. I split 2 sticks plus 1 stick down the middle and laid flat. I leave the butter on the counter, so when it softens, push it down a bit and the lid shuts tight. My husband loves butter and 1 plate on a stick doesn't fit in my house, 3 chopsticks and I can last about 2 days before filling it up. It's well made, I have the navy blue color and lid, so you can't go wrong with Bamboo. My upgrade is so disappointing I had this butter dish for 1 week. I just washed plates and lids 2 days ago. I was shocked to see that while the lid and bowl were drying in the colander, the lid began to warp and the surface peeled off. I'm not sure if it's bamboo. I have a bamboo cutting board, kitchen utensils, never warped or cleaned. I like the size of the plate but oh my god the lid is peeling and warping after a week of hand washing and rinsing which is not too fortunate. Also find a bunch of shit about writing a review on Revain and get a free butter knife. They only go through this process to find out they don't have high demand and try again later. In this busy world we live in, who will remember to go back and ask just to apologize, try again. The upside is that the dish is awesome, I can put 2 chopsticks next to each other, then I take the 3rd chopstick, cut it in half and place it next to each other on the bottom 2. I leave my butter on the counter when it softens I crush it and cover it.
