Review on Rancho RS55256 RS5000X Shock Absorber by Ahmed Rowe

Random: Shock Absorber

Quality control seems pretty patchy. Initially I ordered a full set from 4WP and 1 rear one lost its charge right away. So I ordered one from Revain while waiting for customer service to slowly go through the return process. 'Cause what am I supposed to do, ride on 3 shock absorbers? So I have a spare. So I bought another one so I could have a pair to use on my next project. (That original Jeep still drives them with good performance.) And I did a few years later. Before that they were only in boxes on the shelves. Well a new Wrangler build is coming, grab the ranchos from the parts shelf. They have about 300 miles, if that, on them. This includes a light ride on so-called county roads. Equipped with super sloped bogs, the jeep will shake for miles after sitting idle for a long time. But after 300 miles, one rear end has no charge and a huge dead zone, while the other barely does. Charger. They are 3-4 years old at the moment so don't expect any warranty or anything. They were probably installed a year before the jeep was finally completed and released to the market. Covid has frozen the gathering for a while. And the paint began to peel and rust just as they were parked in the short grass in front of my barn. So they look well used despite having so few miles. It just seems like 2.5 bad out of 6 total means bad quality control somewhere in the queue. I think I'm done buying Rancho.
