Review on ATP Automotive Y 1149 Transhift Cable by Daniel Aboubakar

We purchased this part by selecting the year, make and model from the drop down menu at the top of the screen. He never asked us if it was an automatic or manual transmission, so we assumed they were the same (I know, a big no-no on our part). It arrived in less than a week and was well packaged (go to Amazon!) but the part didn't fit. The small adapter rings on it are too small for our manual car. After reading everything on the box that the part came in, we found a small ad about "automatic transmission" and understood why the part didn't fit. So save yourself the trouble. If you have a manual transmission or "lever shifter" this part (ATP Y-1149) will NOT work! We ended up going to the local auto parts store (who told us on the phone they don't have this part) and found it there. It WAS more expensive than this part ($68.99 instead of $37.81). But then again this is for mechanics not an automatic, does it matter in the price?
