Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Speed up Your Nintendo-Switch: Silicon Power 1TB Micro SD Card U3 - High-Speed MicroSD Memory Card by Carl Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money and quality!

We needed two 32GB microSD cards to add more storage to our S4 phones. We bought one of these and one of the main competing models, the 32GB EVO, which was a few bucks more expensive than this SP model. I've read reviews from both buyers and experts, but still couldn't decide which to go with, so I just bought one of each to test them out for myself. I first captured some 1080p videos saved directly to an SP microSD card and then checked them out to see how well they captured. All videos played well and smoothly. I then tested the speed with the current version (at the time of review) of CrystalDiskMark, first at a file size of 100MB and then at a file size of 1GB. The speeds of this SP Elite card were surprisingly similar in both tests. Added result photo. Results shown are an average of 5 passes in each test, tested on a computer with an integrated card reader running Windows 10 64-bit.* MB/s = 1,000,000 bytes/s [SATA/600 = 600,000,000 bytes/s s]* KB = 1000 bytes, KiB = 1024 bytes 100 MB test Sequential read (Q=32, T=1): 75.586 MB/s Sequential write (Q=32, T=1): 20.894 MB/s Random read 4 KB ( Q = 32 ,T= 1): 4.996 MB/s [1219.7 IOPS] Random Write 4 KB (Q= 32,T= 1): 1.102 MB/s [269.0 IOPS] Sequential Read (T= 1): 86.616 MB/s Sequential Write (T=1): 22.020 MB/s 4 KB Random Read (Q=1, T=1): 4.769 MB/s [1164.3 IOPS] 4 KB Random Write (Q= 1, T=1): 1.099 MB/s [268.3 IOPS] Test: 100 MB [E: 0.0% (0.0/29.9 GiB)] (x5) [interval = 5 seconds] Date: 08/11/2015 17:52:11 OS: Windows 10 [10.0 Build 10240 ] (x64) Test sequential read 1 GB (Q=32, T=1) : 75.506 MB/s sequential write (Q=32, T=1 ) : 20.894 MB/s Random Read 4 KB (Q=32, T=1): 5.037 MB/s [1229.7 IOPS] 4 KB Random Write (Q= 32, T= 1) : 1,090 MB/s [266.1 IOPS] Sequential Read (T= 1) : 86.197 MB/s Sequential Write (T= 1): 21.810 MB/s 4 KB Random Read (Q= 1, T= 1): 4.767 MB/s [1163.8 IOPS] Random Write 4 KB (Q= 1, T= 1 ): 1.080 MB/s [263.7 IOPS] Benchmark: 1024 MB [E: 0.0% (0.0/29.9 GiB)] (x5) [interval = 5 c] Date: 2015-08-11 17:52:37 OS: Windows 10 [10.0 build 10240] (x64) I am very happy with this card and will definitely buy it again.
