This kit contains many items that remind me of my first sewing kit. This is the most basic set of items to start embroidering; There's nothing stopping you from embroidering, sewing cross-stitches or practicing beginner-level sewing techniques. This kit contains: - Storage bag for everything that comes with it - A set of embroidery needles in a protective plastic tube - A pair of scissors specifically for threading - A ring-shaped thimble - 10 plastic spools for winding thread for embroidery and storage - Plastic element that says "a disc for the thread in the needle. I personally have never used them. Five different pen inserts and a clear plastic pen tube to assemble yourself. They are included so you can mark your embroidery or cross stitch design in advance. It is not specified whether they are water soluble or permanent.- Tape measure for sewing beginners- Sewing needles and pincushion (beginner level)- Two threads for flowers- Five wooden embroidery hoops- 120 colors embroidery thread- Sheets of Aida fabricMe more I was most satisfied with the wooden frame and the floss for embroidery. Hades cloth seemed too stiff to me. I've been sewing cross stitch for eight years, so I've switched to a lighter fabric for cross stitch and embroidery, but when you're starting out, heavy fabric is good for learning the technique. This set is a fantastic starter set. Depending on the projects you want to take on, you might not need everything listed here, but you won't miss the tools either. At some point you'll need to upgrade some of your tools, but if you're just starting out or want to give away a great starter kit, I'd recommend this one. Thread and hoop are something that cannot be replaced. I personally prefer wooden hoops to plastic hoops. For the price, this set is just amazing; However, there are some elements that are not good. I found the pincushion and needles to be of such poor quality that I wouldn't recommend them even to a beginner. However, embroidery items are a good collection for beginners.
