I hate this. The purpose of a scale is to get an accurate weight, especially if you're in the mail order business for an online business where shipping costs go up when the weight of the package even increases by an ounce. This scale weighs my pocket knife at a rounded figure of 250g, but my smaller, more accurate pocket scale weighs it at a TRUE weight of 241.28g on the scale, but my smaller pocket scale registers the exact weight listed in the manual. I really wanted to like this scale especially because it has a cable reader so you can put large items on it and still see the reading. If I wanted to round up the total weight, I would ask my friend Bob. You can give Bob any item and ask its weight and he will tell you that it "probably weighs about 2 pounds" and will be just as useful as this scale.
