Dim, tiny and only burns for a few hours

The sensor gets a lot of sunlight all day, but in the dark the light is weak and only stays on for two to three hours. They get darker and darker for a short time until they finally disappear. I bought two strings and they both do the same thing which is a big disappointment. What's really annoying is that years ago I supposedly bought the exact same items and when I bought them recently I ordered the exact same headlights before. The ones from years ago worked so well. It may not be the same product at all, although Revain sold them as buybacks for the same lamps as before.
