This very large device has been in my living room for about 4 months now and does exactly what it should. I have another one in my master suite. I've heard people complain that filters do NOT last long (e.g. dirty, then a person should be thinking about what's in the air in their home, not that the block or filter is defective. I have just changed the filter after 4 months because i needed it which tells me that the air in my house SHOULD be cleaned and that is what it needs.
