I used it under the dash to add a few extra bulbs and have room for more stuff if I wanted it later on the road. I really like that it uses a high power post to power all the circuitry. I used a thick 10ga fusible wire that connected to my battery and, for safety, routed it through the engine bay into my firewall and connected it to the power connector on this unit. Now all I have to do is add a cable and fuse for each accessory I want. Very easy and clean installation. It has holes for attaching to a firewall or anywhere else you can screw. You will need to get your own screws as they are not included.
