In our turtle tank, the heater started to melt.
We bought this heater for our turtle and completely submerged it in water (horizontally) as per the instructions. It was set at 75 degrees. My husband heard a noise from the tank today, turned off the heater and found it was starting to melt. Ours is less than 2 weeks. It is good that our little red-eared crab (turtle) was not injured. I would NOT recommend this product.
