Review on Black One Size Minus33 Merino Wool 740 Expedition Balaclava by Jeff Wells

This balaclava is perfect. I used it to walk over a mile to and from school last winter and it's fantastic. I've used it in temperatures as low as -38 degrees Fahrenheit and wind speeds of 10 to 15 mph. It worked great over a beard for those of you guys (or women for that matter) who love to naturally wrap up your face in winter. I don't have any other balaclavas to compare but this one definitely met or exceeded what I should expect from Merino wool and minus 33. Comfortable, warm, great for a winter hat. Takes up very little space when folded or folded. Also works great as a neck warmer. In terms of durability, I've only had them one winter and used them almost daily from November to February and had no problems. This is a great choice for those working out there in the oil industry as merino wool is inherently flame retardant (although it clearly doesn't have an HRC rating).
