Review on Black Plastic Pegboard Hooks Complete by Daniel Mandal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right size for most pegboards

These little locks are perfect for attaching hooks and tools to a pegboard. While they hold up great on their own, if you want an even tighter fit (I'm not good with tools), use a lighter or similar to lightly melt the arrowheads (only at the top edge of their joint) and then bend them slightly the tips inward and hold until the plastic hardens again. Additional effort, but worth it for valuable items. When I'm done I have to reach behind the locks with my knife to push the arrowheads out just enough to dislodge these modified locks. Hooks held by modified locks won't go anywhere on their own. I have a few pens in two rooms of my workshop and none of my tools (rulers, gauges, spirit levels, handsaws, planes, etc.) have ever fallen off with modified or unmodified locks holding my pens in place.

Pros
  • Hook
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
