I love the natural look and feel of wood, especially in my kitchen. I have several cutting boards and such and need to oil them regularly to keep them shiny. So when I came across the KitchenAid Bamboo Short Turner (made from sustainable bamboo), I had to have it. This is a great kitchen tool, safe for all surfaces of dishes. This aesthetically pleasing utensil is ideal for preparing roasts or scrambled eggs. With proper use I think this KitchenAid Bamboo Short Spatula will last for many years. You should not put such wooden utensils in the dishwasher. They can only be hand washed. Otherwise, they will dry out, crack and deform. I suggested washing your hands with mild dish soap, letting them dry, and oiling them lightly with edible mineral oil.
