Review on 🌪️ Vornado HELIX2: Powerful, Compact Personal Tower Fan with 3 Speed Settings, Easy Touch Controls, 70-Degree Oscillation – Sleek Black Design by Denise Berry

Product arrived in a condition that might indicate previous ownership, although purchased new. The box appeared to have been taped a second time and there were several marks on the power cord next to the pins that looked like kinking or handling damage. After switching on, the fan began to produce an audible rattle at all three speeds. Pressing/moving the device temporarily stopped the rattling, but it returned within a minute. I have requested a replacement fan to see if it is just a bearing failure or lacks Vornado quality control. I will update this review once the replacement has been delivered and tested, but for now I am completely unimpressed with the product in front of me. Rattling noises, it's definitely more muffled than the previous one. I've found that it goes away momentarily when the fan is tilted or rotated, which isn't great, but goes away when listening becomes unbearable. To its credit, it moves quite a bit of air even on the lowest settings. Fan noise itself isn't too annoying either, just a rattling noise. Yes, it's loud on the highest settings, but that's to be expected given how much air it's actually moving. The other two settings are definitely quiet enough for office use and no one complains about noise. I am not very happy with this product at the moment but I will not be entering the Revain lottery. I hope to get one that doesn't have a rattling noise. You may need to disassemble this to try to pinpoint the source of the noise and apply a more permanent solution. I want to love this fan, but I don't feel any better when the second one has the same problem as the first. This issue may have been fixed in HELIX2, but I'm not too inclined to invest more time and money to be disappointed again. In short, I give this product 3 out of 5 points. It's compact, easy to use, and moves a lot of air even on the lowest setting. Build quality is a little low, but it doesn't feel cheap either, which makes the whole situation even more difficult. Pre-recommend it if you are not bothered by possible rattling noises or if it is drowned out by the level of ambient noise.
