Review on RAIJINTEK Ophion Evo ALS Micro ATX by Justin Vasquez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad, not amazing

Pros: - Compatible with 200mm fan (Noctua) - (Almost) reliable cable management (assuming you don't have a very long GPU) - Front USB C 3.2 port - Strong (thick) metal - Thumbscrews included - Easy assembly (if you install the bottom fan last and install the fans on the heatsink before inserting) - Fairly small footprint in the middle. I want the separator to be slightly recessed. The GPU has way more space than it needs. They could have made the side GPU vents more appropriate and placed the dual-slot GPU much closer to the wall to make room for different air coolers. The AMD Wraith cooler (stock) doesn't even fit. Water cooling is therefore mandatory. If they change that middle wall, the cable routing could be a little cleaner, as could the poor sound absorption - I used a 200mm fan (Noctua) on the bottom and a 280mm radar (shut up!) on the top. The fans are quiet, but with similar fans in my former Thermaltake V21 case, they had less audible noise. Not bad, not great. Maybe some insulation on the panels could help - GPU heat goes straight to the heatsink - with all that extra space I'm wondering if I can add fans to the side vents of the GPU and block them from their ducts to the top of the case (where the heatsink is the only fan sucking in air). If they had more room for a better air cooler I wouldn't worry. However, they didn't, and there's no GPU exhaust/CPU cooler separation with a design that defeats the purpose of a dual-chamber setup. If I screwed it up to fix the problem, it would add significant noise to the case, which I don't want - the CFM of a single (intake) 200mm Noctua fan is significantly less than two 140mm fans ( outlet). (same goes for three 120mm fans) leaving you stuck with negative air pressure inside the case without smart fan curve adjustment (and/or carefully chosen fans). The ball was dropped due to some oversights that I didn't think of The way is why I said "almost reliable". I believe there is even room for improvement for those more proud of their cabling skills.
