The sticker above asking the user to remove the plastic is a good clue as otherwise I wouldn't have thought to add the to check filters. Most people don't read the manual to check as the air filter should be pretty easy to use. I tried all the auto shut off timer features and they worked fine, shutting off after 1/4/8 hours as programmed. The unit isn't that loud on the lowest setting, but on the highest setting you can tell it's on, but it just sounds like a big fan, so it's not too bad, especially in a large room. The fan is really powerful and you can really feel the suction power at the inlet of the device. I've always dealt with allergies and every day I wake up to a car covered in pollen. I also have a dog, so pet hair is in the air. My kids also have a lot of allergy issues and after using the filter I noticed that they are less likely to sneeze and rub their eyes. It hasn't completely eliminated it, but even reducing it is great. The device is light enough that I can take it from my living room to my bedroom at night. Night mode runs with the fan at its lowest speed and turns off the light so you can't tell it's on. The plastic feels thin so it doesn't feel that hard, but that shouldn't be a problem as it can't be knocked over. I've been using it on the lowest setting all day for a week and I'm using 1.55kWh/day so it's not that bad. Overall this is a good device and I can say it is helping as my indoor allergies are much better than before. Let's see how long the filter lasts and how much it costs to replace it.
