Review on L'Oreal Paris Hair Makeup Temporary 1-Day Hair Color - Moonstone for Blondes and Brunettes, 1 Fl Oz by Kristin Bennett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It comes out right away - ALL SHINES when brushing

I've wanted to try an unnatural color on my hair like a blue streak for a long time but at 54 I didn't want to get stuck on anything so this product seemed perfect be to try it. A friend of mine was looking for something similar for his dark hair, so I specifically tested it on the part of my hair that wasn't gray yet. I was quite confused by the description and instructions as it said gloves were not required but also said skin contact was not possible; I used gloves. I followed the directions and started by applying a small amount of the product, about the size of a coin, to a strand of dark hair. When it didn't, I added the same amount again. Still no luck, or maybe I could just make out a tiny flicker as the light hit it just right. I wanted it to be lighter, more like the color in the tube and on some models' pigtails, so I applied a little more and swept it through my hair. At this point it popped up, although it still wasn't as much as I would have liked, so I pinned it up so it wouldn't touch my clothes and let it dry. After the hair was dry it got stiff and tangled so I brushed it out to part it and soften it back – AND ALL THE COLOR WAS DIRECTLY ON THE COMB AND THE HAIR WHICH WAS CURED BECAUSE THE HAIR MAKE -UP WAS SO HARD AND STICKY! I couldn't see any more color on my head, although there can be quite a bit of it because the hair still appears a bit coarse. Of course, this only works if the hair is styled in such a way that you don't have to brush it after applying the color, which I never do. This might work for my boyfriend as I don't know if he would comb his beard to get rid of the stiffness.
