I bought this to replace my old seat cover and I have to say this cover blows my old one out of the water! door side. It's always been a place my old shell couldn't protect. My dogs jumped in, got their foot stuck in the lid and then their dirty paws landed right on my seat. With this cover, that's no longer a problem! I also like the mesh in the middle. My old blanket got in the way of checking my dogs. Now I can look behind and see clearly if they are standing or sitting. Being able to open the lid and have someone sit down will definitely come in handy. This is a really neat feature. Maybe I don't have to take the whole cover out of the car now that I have a guest in the back! I also like the storage compartments. I used to just throw dog leashes on the floor of the car. Now I can safely stash them in my bag for easy access. I cannot praise this cover. I love it and am really glad I chose it.
