This unit appears to be well made, the pull switch is comfortable and looks good, but that's about all it has to offer. Nothing high tech here, just a switch and power indicator. Wanted to send it back because it barely keeps drinks warm on its own. Not hot at all! Reading other people's reviews, it's probably as good as other models in production, but twice the price of Mr. Kaffee's. With 24 watts, I had imagined it to be significantly hotter. It's not like this! However, before I sent it back, I tried a few things that made me decide to keep it. None of my mugs have a completely flat bottom as I use a mug with a very small rim. They are also fairly heavy thick ceramics. I started by preheating a cup of water in the microwave before making the latte. I also used the French Onion Soup Pottery Pot Top (Lid) which matched my mug perfectly! I put this on a mug by heating it with water just before making the latte. Using this cover was a game changer! My latte was poured into a mug at around 150 degrees. With the jug's lid on while drinking, it maintained a temperature of 135 degrees (138+ degrees closer to the bottom), which is perfectly acceptable. If my cup was thinner and had a flat bottom, it would probably be even warmer. No matter what cup warmer you have, a lid on the cup makes a world of difference, albeit not perfect and not as hot as those that are made. years, I will keep that. I hope this lasts... hooray! Jerry
